Our pets are a part of our family. They are our stress relief when we come home from work or have experienced a terrible day. They are the ones who are always there for us whenever we need cheering up. Because of this, we are always thinking of giving them the best in life and make them happy. With this being said, we give them the shelter, food, and the love and support that they need. Pets that live in cold places need proper care especially during winter season.
Our pet needs a warm place to sleep. This is especially true to cats and puppies cats might freeze to death or get lost and puppies do not tolerate cold as good as adult dogs can. They also need constant care especially if they accidentally went outdoors. There are several incidents wherein cats would sleep inside the hood of your car and risk getting harmed and killed and dogs get lost in the snow. Because of these scary scenarios, some pet owners opted to create their own space or playroom for their pets and, ultimately, children in their own garages.
Preparation should start a month or two before the start of winter. This means inspecting the entire garage for potential escape routes for our cats and make sure that your walls are well insulated or, if not, install insulators and seal the crevices where the cold draft might pass. Install a unit heater for added protection from the extreme cold. Make sure that the garage door parts or Liftmaster Garage Door Openers are functioning properly especially in case of emergencies.
After checking everything, you can now start putting shelves for your pet’s things and food, insulated boxes for your cats to sleep in and beds for your dogs. You can also make your own obstacle course for your cats and allot enough space for a treadmill for your dogs to exercise on. So whether it’s the winter season, they can still have fun without risking their lives. In addition, this will also be a safe location for your children to spend time and play with your pets
